Depending on the “status” of your payment will determine if a payment can be cancelled. When a payment is initiated by you the (payor), it goes through three (3) basic statuses:
Pending (sometimes called hold)
Processed
Completed
If your payment is in “pending” status, that means that we’ve authorized the payment from your bank or credit card issuer and the payment has yet to be posted to your account balance. During the “pending” status, the payment can be safely cancelled.
Refunds can only be requested on payments in “completed” status. Refunds must be submitted via a request from your Marina. The Marina will contact our support staff and enter in a request to issue a refund of the agreed upon amount between you (payor) and the Marina (payee).
Declined payments can happen for various reasons. Here are the most common reasons:
Card expiration has expired
Card has been deactivated
Reported as stolen
You’ve reached your credit card limit
Incorrect payment information or a typo
Suspicious activity
Another merchant may have a hold on your card
